The healthy part of karela was removed, it should have been sauteed n used in filling. Also if mashed potatoes had been added to the filling then the starch of the potato would have served as natural sealant and also enhanced the taste and ofcourse made it much more healthier. It would have made it much more tasty. There would be no need for tying with thread, a tedious n wasteful effort. Karela stuffed with onions n tomatoes, doubt it would taste any special, could as well as have chopped n cooked with onions n tomatoes. Villagers work in very inefficient ways if this is how they cook. A healthy vegetable cooked in a very unhealthy way
